Say hello to the Niche table!

Introducing the Niche pedestal table! When our friends told us they wanted a table for their kitchen eating nook, and that it would be the center of activity for their growing family, we got pretty excited. As designers, Chad and I love a challenge, and we were up to the task of designing and making a simple piece that had to be elegant and functional, sturdy and pretty, with plenty of leg room!

So, we thought about creating a beautiful object for the home from steel and wood (our favorite local materials), and we started with the basics. We asked ourselves, “what does it look like? How do the parts and pieces go together, and how can we employ an economy in material?” After exploring a number of ideas, and getting wonderful feedback from our friends and clients, we landed on this striking form.

This table is going to fit perfectly into the cozy corner of a kitchen, but we think it will also be perfect for a restaurant setting!!
